Habitat Management
Our experienced ecologists and contractors use methods appropriate for the target habitats and species of a project and simultaneously build in methods for the benefit of other taxa.
We undertake ongoing management of various sites including past mitigation schemes, solar sites and nature reserves undertaking vegetation management, grass mowing, fencing, and footpath and track creation and repair and other general maintenance works.
Where it’s appropriate we use new and traditional conservation management techniques including soil/turf translocation, hedgerow and small tree translocation, hedge cutting/laying/planting, dead hedging, coppicing and pollarding.
Our team has particular experience in the management of ditches, water courses and wetlands and routinely undertake sensitive methods of dredging, sediment removal and reedbed management to arrest natural successional processes.
